The Effect of Natural Feeding Nereis sp. Enriched With Squid Oil With Different Soaking Times on Growth and Survival of Vannamei Shrimp (Littopenaeus vannamei) Post Larvae

Enriched With Squid Oil With Different Soaking Times on Growth and Survival Rate of 15 Vannamei Shrimp Larvae (Littopenaeus vannamei). Vannamei shrimp (L. vannamei) is one of potential shrimp, because vannamei shrimp is one of the leading products of the fisheries sector . Optimal growth for vannamei shrimp larvae is 30-55% protein and 4-18% fat. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of natural feeding of Nereis sp. enriched with squid oil with different soaking times to increase the survival and growth of vannamei shrimp larvae and to find out the best times of soaking for the growth and survival of vannamei shrimp larvae. Vannamei shrimp larvae (L. vannamei) was cultivated with a density of 30 shrimp / container in each treatment for 30 days. The frequency of feeding was 4 times a day using fix feeding rate method.The research method used was an experimental study using a completely randomized design of 4 treatments and 3 replications, namely Treatment A (Nereis sp. without enriched with squid oil), B (Nereis sp. enriched with squid oil for 1 hour), C (Nereis sp. enriched with squid oil for 2 hour), D (Nereis sp. enriched with squid oil for 3 hour). The results showed that natural feeding of Nereis sp.enriched with squid oil with different soaking times had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the growth in relative growth rate, total feed consumption, growth in absolute feed utilization efficiency, growth in absolute protein efficiency ratio and SR. The value of absolute relative growth rate, total feed consumption, natural feed utilization efficiency, protein efficiency ratio and the highest SR in treatment D (Nereis sp. enriched with squid oil for 3 hour) with consecutive values of 57,78 %, 252,55 g , 1,69 %, 2,99 % and 95,56 %. The water quality in the rearing medium during the rearing period was still in the proper range for cultivating the larvae of vannamei shrimp (L. vannamei).
